No- we're still here, Norman! (I say "we" as if I didn't abandon Jaiku for months myself when most of my contacts fled. @cybette is probably gonna give me grief for that! :P)
not killed, just got a little quite over here for a short period of time, but at least for me, it is coming back to life - some interesting conversations happening, learning new stuff, and all in a much easier manner that using one of the 100's of Twitter clients that attempt to make sense of the noise over there.
That's all it is too, in my experience- a lot of noise. It's like a million people in one room shouting at each other, or at times- shouting at no one. :-/
Gravity is a pretty slick client, and I really liked using it- but Twitter itself... it's of little use/value to me without a threaded environment to facilitate discussion. Jaiku is a discussion, Twitter is not. I went over there thinking I could use it as such- and I was totally wrong. It has a purpose that works for some, but it's just not for me.
